(AP) ? Egypt's President Mohammed Morsi has issued a decree pardoning all those arrested or convicted of crimes linked to actions "in support of the revolution" since the beginning of the popular uprising that forced his predecessor, Hosni Mubarak, from power.

The order asks the prosecutor general and the military prosecutor to prepare a list of names of all those who may benefit from the pardon within a month from the decree's issuance.

The decree does not specify who would be pardoned. But it could potentially affect the more than 1,000 protesters who were arrested during the demonstrations against Mubarak or in those against the military council that ruled from his fall until Morsi was sworn in on June 30.

The decree was published on Morsi's official Facebook page Monday.
